43159 is ready for the 50th Anniversary!

With some help from our friends at UKRL and Railadventure, we’ve been preparing a surprise for this weekends 50th Anniverary of HST, but the cats out of the bag as 43159 leaves Loughborough today! Over the past couple of week 43159 has been repainted into its world record breaker livery and looks stunning as you can see!

43159 will be out this weekend (subject to operational requirements and availablity) as part of the set for ‘The Journey Shrinker’ and ‘Rio Revival’ railtours.

“The Miller & Grange” – #HST50

On the 17th July 2026, 125 Group were pleased to be involved with a private charter between Doncaster, Derby and London King’s Cross celebrating 50 years of HST. Guests invited to be on-board were from all areas and eras of HST operation from early development to the present day.

BBC Look North were also on board and took the opportunity to put together this segment covering some HST history and you might just see a few familar faces in this footage:
