Important Shop Update – USA Shipping

From 29 August, the de minimus rules by which UK suppliers have been able to ship low value sales items to the United States of America without incurring trade / customs duties, have been withdrawn by the US Government and all exports to the United States will be subject to trade duties and import inquisition.

It is simply not possible for the 125 Group to continue supplying goods with these duties, which would lead to items being supplied at a loss, together with significant additional paperwork and process controls.  Sadly, meeting these new requirements is neither economically viable, nor achievable with the small number of volunteers that the Group relies on to undertake despatch.

As a result, 125 Group, in line with its standard sales terms, has taken the difficult decision to cease offering sales items to any address in the United States of America.  125 Group Membership from the USA is unaffected and the supply of members magazines will for the present continue as the intrinsic value of the magazine is deemed to be zero.

We are really sorry that we are having to impose these restrictions but it is a revision to trade terms that – as a volunteer charity organisation – we are simply unable to undertake.
