The route is from Edinburgh Waverley, out through the tunnels to Haymarket and followed by that great railway structure – the Forth Bridge. The journey also includes Britain’s longest bridge – that over the River Tay. With a helicopter flying alongside these phenomenol structures are seen from an aerial viewpoint too.
North of Dundee, with the sun gradually sinking in the clear blue sky the HST calls at Arbroath and Stonehaven. Lots of semaphone signals to see too. This really is the Northern Lights!
